I came to the practice of yoga in 1999 as a person totally disconnected from her body and not understanding the source of the constant pain I experienced. I was overweight, overwrought and overworked. I took the advice of my doctor, quit my career and joined a yoga class. Although I could barely manage some of the asanas during the first class, I immediately felt a sense of peace, belonging and acceptance, feelings I had very little familiarity with at that time. In 2002 I purchased an old farm and opened my own studio, Namaste Farm and in 2003 I became a Registered Yoga Teacher. Namaste Farm has now morphed into Namaste To Go, an individualized yoga service I provide in the privacy of your own home! I have developed discipline through my practice that I never had and finally, after many years of trying, even lost 50 pounds! If you are looking for a practice infused with compassion, laughter and love then there is an empty mat in my class with your name on it!
